Components

Page information

Page Information is a minimal, single-line component used to surface metadata that relates to the page as a whole rather than to any specific piece of content within it.

Do's

  • Use it to communicate page-level metadata such as last updated date, publication date, or document reference number
  • Keep the string concise and factual; a single, short statement is the intended pattern
  • Ensure dates follow a clear, unambiguous format, preferably following the inter-institutional guidelines

Don'ts

  • Do not use the component to present multiple pieces of metadata simultaneously; it is designed for a single string, not a list of properties
  • Do not place editorial commentary or instructional content here; the component is not suited to guidance or calls to action
  • Do not repeat information already prominently communicated elsewhere on the page, such as in the page header or article body

When to use

  • Use it when a content-related information. document reference, version number, or publication identifier are required for compliance, citation, or audit purposes, provided the value fits naturally as a single string

When not to use

  • Do not use it as a substitute for structured metadata components where richer presentation is needed
