Select fields are sometimes used without any visible label, the first option serving as subject indicator. Avoid omitting visible labels if possible, as this significantly hinders - or even prevents - navigation for voice-command users. If a select field must remain without a visible label, provide a descriptive hidden label to ensure it remains accessible to screen reader users.
